Foreign Made Car Seat

hi..

i went to other countries and saw some nice car seat. they claimed to be certified by other country's regulation. (stickers, leaflets, etc.) my question, how can we check it so that it can be use in USA.

If you know the make and model of the seats, we can check that for you.

The biggies are visible stickers that say something like "meets or exceeds FMVSS 213" or something along those lines.

If they only say something like "meets federal regulations in all foreign countries," then that is not enough.

I concurr with bazanna, If the seat does not state what was posted in the previous post then we as technicians cannot install the seat. However some overseas regulations are stricker then ours in the United States. It would utimately be the parents disission wether to use the seat or not.
