What is safer?

I stalled our Eddie bauer 3 in 1, in my dad's truck (2006 chevy colorado) I was surprised to see a TEATHER!! Woot!

The headrest is stuck to the back of the seat. Is it best to go around the headrest? or go over it? I think around i got a safer install with going around to the right hand side.

I made sure the airbag was off before he left with him.

First, read the Colorado's manual. It should tell you the proper way to tether. Generally you want the tether strap to take the most direct route possible, with as little twists and turns as possible.

Are the tether anchors fabric loops? If so, you might need to thread the tether strap through the fabric loop behind the carseat, then hook it to the fabric loop behind the seat next to it.

Is this a single-cab? I'm assuming so, since you mention an airbag being shut off. If it is a single cab, my last paragraph may not apply; be sure to check the owner's manual for clarification!

Yes its a single cab.

The teather is metal from the bed of the truck.
