So after deciding against the Scenera, many of you recommended the Uptown. Problem is I can't find it anywhere except for Target online and I hate to buy it sight unseen and without trying it in the car. I know I can return it, but I'm already seriously running out of time and need a secondary seat ASAP. Any other recommendations?

What is the vehicle year/make/model? The Uptown is so similar to the Scenera & the Scenera fits the majority of vehicles....

I need it for a secondary seat mainly for a 2006 Ford Fusion and 2003 Ford Explorer and occasionally for a 2006 Montego.

If you order one from Target, do a search for Target Coupons. There's a 10% one out there plus free shipping if you enter "babyship" or "wintership" also... :p

Honestly, thnis is one seat I would not have an issue buying without getting my hands on it. It's like the Scenera finally grew up. It should install exactly the same way.

would this one be a good option for flying with an infant?

we are basically a car-free family NOW... living in DC... baby is due in Sep. We'll be moving to Portland Oregan and probably flying at the end of Nov... so baby will be 2 months old.

I'm trying to decide between Fisherprice safe voyage deluxe convertible, Scenera, and this one has also been added to my list.. I like that it is more padded... I was thinking scenera was good because it was lightweight and good on an airplane... and the 7 inch lower shoulder strap sounded good... but I like this extra padding.

I've also been recently considering the graco safeseat... since it seems to actually last that full year... is it a good one for air travel?

oy.
thank you all for being HERE! =)

Yes, it would be ideal for you. Its lightweight, has low bottom slots, tall top slots and a high seat shell. Lots of padding and a soft cover.
