We live in NYC and own a '04 VW Beetle. Our son is in a SnugRide32 and with a proper install the front passenger seat is too far forward and too upright for me to sit comfortably so when use the car(rare these days) I sit in the back with baby. I do not particularly enjoy this, especially on long trips which is when we actually use the car.
We are moving in the fall and will need to purchase a 2nd car. Our son will likely be moving up to a convertible but we would like to use the SR32 for a future child. I'm only interested in sedans, I prefer foreign, and we will be buying used. Which sedans fit a SR32 without making the front seat unusable?
I'd also like recs for convertible seats. One will go in the sedan(primary seat) and one will have to go in the Beetle(2nd seat) in case my husband needs to drive him. I'd love it if the 2nd seat is lightweight for airline travel. The primary seat can be a bit "heartier". I'd like to keep him RF for as long as possible. He is about 20lbs now at 9 months. I'm not sure his length but his straps are in the middle slots on the SR32 with the top slots coming just above his shoulders.
Thanks in advance!
