Ok, this is old news but I thought I would share anyhow.

http://tinyurl.com/globalnews-carseat <- March 31st News Report from Global Calgary. Wait for it to load and then go to 13:50 elapsed time / 33:10 remaining to see the report on the dangers of after market bundle-me type accessories.

I've had reports of this link not working but I think it was user error. I'm sorry that I don't know anyway to edit out just this story.

Feel free to share, though I know this is more helpful going into winter... if I remember I will bump this up in the fall.

That really was good. They covered slack in the harness/possible ejection, harness being routed at wrong angle and injuries due to that and gave a solution to use a blanket or cover. Really, it's one of the best news clips I've seen.

The link works, but the video doesn't load. It's just a black screen with the date.
It worked fine for me (after telling my Flash blocker to load it). It's Flash content, in case you've got a Flash blocker on your browser or are using an iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad.

I remember that story, because at the time I wondered why they would run such a story at the end of winter. It originally aired on Global Edmonton. Most of us Edmonton techs will recognize the AHS injury prevention coordinator that they interviewed.

Works in Firefox and Safari on a Mac, but didn't work in Firefox on Windows for me. I get the controls at the bottom but no video.

I'm using Firefox for Windows.  Well, as long as *most* people are able to watch it, that's good enough.

I agree though, it should have been run at the beginning of winter, or at least before Christmas. Though looking outside today here in Calgary, it sure looks and feels like winter again!!! Boo weather! (And that's why I'll try to remember to bump this up in the fall.)

This is what happens for me- I'm on firefox on windows and get the controls, but no video. And I can't try it in IE, because IE freezes on me, which is why we now use firefox.

Can someone give a brief description on what the video is all about?

Post #3 I gave a run down of what the focus was. They had someone from Dorel speak and Barbara Baines from Transport Canada to talk about the issues. They also covered hanging toys been a danger in a crash.

Crap crap triple crap!! The video is no longer available!! I will try to contact them to see about getting a copy of it or getting it re-aired. I never did understand why they only put it out *after* winter was almost done.

Sorry - I should have checked the link!
