Top tethers in the '03 Caravan

Sorry, yet another question about my van... :eek:

Okay, so everyone has told me that the '03 has only one top tether (in the center of the 3rd row) but when I was messing around with my 2nd row bench today, I saw this:

So I look it up in my manual again and it says...

Two LATCH child restraint anchorage systems are installed on all second-row seats. Second-row seats also feature tether strap anchorages, located in the rear surface of the seatback.

However, my manual also assumes I have second row captains chairs through the entire manual, but I have all bench seating. So now I'm really confused. Are these top tethers in the second row or not...? :confused: Maybe the second row bench didn't originally come with this van? (I bought it used, pretty recently... obviously.)

Well geez, before I bought it, at least 2 people told me it only had one TA, so I believed them. :doh: Maybe they meant only one in the 3rd row??

And I was all worried about what I was going to do once I had more than one FF'er. :rolleyes:

So you have 2 on the middle bench and 1 on the rear bench.

Unless you find yourself a 2001 3rd row bench (like I did) and then you will have 5 TT's and LATCH on the rear bench, either 2 outboard or 1 centre :D

Well, at the moment all I have is 2 RF'ers, so I don't even need the 3 I have at the moment. LOL So it could be YEARS down the road before I needed more than 3 (and one of my current passengers is my nephew and we probably won't live near them forever). In a year or two though I really want to start doing foster care, so who knows, I might need them eventually!
