SIL was your typical carseat person before I got to her. You know, they know the kid needs to be in a carseat, carseat should be buckled in the car, and kid buckled in the carseat, but that's it. No reading manual, no tight installs, you get the idea.
She's kinda rolled her eyes at me a few times, but I explained how important it is, and taught her how to use DD's seat properly. She has a passing familiarity with how to install it (she never uninstalls), and I completely trust her to buckle DD properly and tighten the harness. I check on DD's growth every once in a while, and I'll determine when harness needs to be moved up.
Well, SIL (M)'s SIL (K) sent a picture of K's son, M's nephew, in his carseat. All M could see was that he wasn't buckled properly. M told K to fix it.
