borrowing a sequoia for vacation-170K miles on it

We are hoping to borrow my brother's 2003 Sequoia to take on vacation. We need a 3rd row vehicle so that I can sit back with the girls, and so the dear old dog can sit in the front (with her PetBuckle on, of course). He has had the Sequoia for a couple years now and has had no major problems except for the traction control wacking out unnecessarily here and there (Toyota may issue a recall on the '03 Sequoia with regards to the traction control system). I'm hoping that issue is resolved by the end of July when we need to borrow it. It is a 600 mile drive each way. And we'll be towing a boat. I'm feeling apprehensive, but so many people I talk to say, "Oh, you'll be fine". It would just be so much cheaper to swap vehicles with my brother for a week instead of forking out $1000 to rent something.

What are your thoughts? Would you do it?

Our daily driver is an '04 Sequoia with 189K on it... so I say go for it... as long as its been taken care of... you should be fine.

I'd be fine with it. Our Pilot has nearly 180K miles, and our Altima is pushing 200K. DH's commuter has an unknown number of miles. It got stuck at 130K. It's a 1990 Camry. It was stuck when BIL bought it five years ago. lol

OK. I'm feeling much better now. Hoping DH likes the Sequoia enough to let me replace my Xterra with one! I need more room!
