booster question

DD is 6.5, weighs close to 60lbs, is a bit over 4feet (maybe 4ft 2?) and long in the torso.

She is in a Graco HBB, which she uses properly (and buckles herself!)

At what point is it "outgrown?" Does the shoulder belt need to come out above her shoulder? Or do I just look for her ears to be level with the top of the seat?

At that point, what are our choices? I know she can use it w/o the back (we've done it on vacations, etc.) and just make sure the car headrest is high enough. If the shoulder belt hits her in the right place, is this OK?

What boosters are taller?

Thanks.

The TB is outgrown when EITHER her shoulders are at/above the belt guide OR the tips of her ears are abive the shell of the seat. If you have appropriate head spport it's fine to use it backless at that point until the 5 Step Test is met. You may need to use the adjuster strap that came with your TB to adjust the shoulder belt, but if she's out grown it by height, it's not as likely.

The only booster that I know for certain is taller than the TB is the Britax Parkway. I haven't seen the Britax Monarch in person.
