Question helping buying a family a car seat wirth no car, Which one?

Some one I work with, their little girl doesn't have one so I would let her use one of mine,when ever they were in someone' car .I am wanting to get her something that is light weight user friendly and the little one would be comfortable in she is about 3 and 30 lbs, I was thinking the Generations 65 or Maestro,but the head parts look awkward to me and slots look close togather, I am trying to find something under $ 150, but safety first,
