New seat pics, couple questions/thoughts (pic heavy)

So, DD got her new regent cover (thanks Arly!) and, while she loves it, DS LOOOOOOVES it. I stuck him in it for the heck of it, knowing he's way tiny. Now he's obsessed with the thing. Oh well

I posted a while back about the crotch depth, and how there's still a bit of space between DD and the crotch buckle. I took a pic with her sitting on a piece of notebook paper to illustrate (BTW, it's wide rule, not college ;)). She's wearing leggings, so pretty close-fitting, but what she normally wears.

And then, since we're going on a road trip (~12 hours) at the end of the month, I've been experimenting with seating arrangements because I don't want DD to be uncomfortable the whole way (she's usually FFing, I want to turn her back around for the trip, since we'll be driving at night and she'll *hopefully* sleep the whole way. After I took the pics, I started debating harness heights - she's kind-of at the first pic's slots, so I moved then down, but I'm not sure - the wings are kind of on her shoulders on the lower setting.

Thoughts on either?

I'd stick with the slot in the first pic. It looks right AT her sholders to me. How does your son sleep in the RN? My DD slept horribly in it when she was younger because the sides are so far away from her head.

DS sleeps great in the Radian - he's ridden in it pretty much since birth in DH's truck, and from about 4 months on in mine. His head doesn't slump forward, but it kind of just tilts to the side.

I think either set is fine... whichever you end up going with, though, the pic will need to be your new siggy pic!

such cuteness!

on the subject of the regent, have you put the belly pad on?? it can help some...

but otherwise, a nice washcloth rolled up to put between child and the buckle would be fine... because she otherwise looks to fit great (in fact, I'd safety pin the wash cloth together in the front, then pin the bottom of it to the cover (in the front), so it would stay in place during loading of the child)
