I posted on here a while back trying to find a way to have 2 RFing in my Mazda 3. Thanks to all the fantastic responses I was able to find a solution, so I thought I'd post it in case anyone needs to do the same.
We have an 18 mth DD and another baby almost here (!). DD is RFing in an Evenflo Triumph Advance behind the passenger seat installed at 35 degrees. This fits fairly well behind the passenger, and although there isn't heaps of leg room there is enough as the car has very deep footwells at the front of the car. DH is 6'2 with very long legs, so finding a seat that would fit behind his driver's position was difficult.
We tried many, many infant seats: Graco SnugRide etc but none of these came anywhere near fitting. We were not able to try out a Chicco KeyFit locally.
We ended up with a Peg Perego Primo Viaggio SIP. Luckily there was a CPST (I think - he was extremely knowledgeable) at the store and he and DH went and tried a few seats out. The Peg fits well. Luckly DH is slim and there is the required space between him and the airbag even though the seat is a little tiny bit further forward than he would choose.
Because of the width of both of these seats, there is absolutely no way we could carry a passenger in the middle of the back seat.
Thank you so much to everyone here for helping us keep our DD Rfing.
