I was just offered a floor model Britax Regent! I asked how much and whatever, and then i asked what the DOM was. She said to me "august of 06"

I was like No thanks! I can get a NEW one for the SAME price, why would i want a OLD one!!

I'm surprised they even offered you the store model... here in ND/MN they have tags sewn on the store models in most all stores saying not for sale... I guess because they could have been dropped, damaged or assembled incorrectly by a store associate...

I know!! When i did my Call everyone in the world trying to find a regent, I had a total of 4 stores offer me their floor models. I was amazed. Every time i said i was out of state, and just trying to find a regent, they were like "Wow".

The Last store i called (and bought from) wanted me to come down to pick it up because they didnt offer shipping. I told them i was in AZ, (they are in NV) and i told them my whole speal, about how i called EVERYONE in california, AZ, NV, NM, and UT. They felt bad for me (they should, they have 5 onyx, and 8 Sahara) So they gave in and shipped it.

Well target has the labels sewn in but like great begginings has a seat that they have taken from there shippment to use i think. Because when they do not have the seats they do not have it out and i have been offered the floor one and it really wasn't old at all.(from the last batch they had gotten)

I would have taken it too if it was at a lower price. My husky has a late 04 manufacture date but I only paid $139 for it over 6 months ago so I figured I was getting a pretty good deal. By the time it expires he'll be ready for a booster and I'm sure I'll want to get something else for the baby anyways. I don't normally hand down my seats, I like to buy new.
