Melted chocolate in Nautilus

So, DS has had lots of b-day parties recently. Saturday, he got a couple of little foil wrapped chocolates and dropped one. Told DW it fell on the floor. Its just now warm enough here to really start warming up the cars. They went to go to another party on Sunday and there was chocolate melted all over his Nautilus seat. I've tried washing it (gentle, short cycle, limited gentle soap in the washing machine), but the chocolate is still in/under the mesh. Any ideas for me? I do have a spare cover from a crashed seat, but I really don't want to put it in DW's car. They eat in the car a lot and don't always take care of spills messes right away. I can't use the cover as it is now unless I want DS to have chocolate on his pants!

I did a soak in the washer, then gentle cycle 3 times. Got all the crud out of mine. I threw towels in too.

I'd consider hand-washing it and VERY GENTLY using a SOFT toothbrush to scrub at the mesh a little to see if you couldn't loosen things. I'd scrub it with a little dish soap to try and get the oils from the chocolate to loosen, then I'd rinse it very well and try washing it on gentle in the washing machine again.

That's what I used to do with my sister's clothes when they got chocolate on them and it generally worked. I found that gentle, short cycles didn't work on melted chocolate.
