So I was talking to a woman about her Ergo today as I was cutting her cheese (I work in a cheese shop). Her ten month old was sound asleep in one, so we got onto the topic of how her baby gets more new stuff than she does. I said, excitedly "Yeah, there are all kinds of new carseats that just came out! Some of them have 40 or 45 lb rear face limits!" She says "Oh... Is that like, safer or something?" And I said "Yeah, it's up to five times safer for a child to be rear facing up to and past 2 years old and in Sweden, most kids rear face to 4 or so." She looked at me shocked, then said "Wow... His legs are against the back of the seat, so I thought he had to be turned as soon as it was legal." I shrugged and said "Look how his legs are in the ergo! You and me would be so uncomfy, but he's totally comfy and sleeping like an angel. I know of a lot of older kids who just put their legs straight up the back of the seat and LOVE it, cause it's comfier for them!" She nodded, clearly thinking, then said "I'm gonna look into it." I really hope she does!
