What did you do for air travel when your child outgrew their Scenera?
I know lots of people use them for travelling, but what's the next step?

Thanks

How old is the child?

My ds outgrew the Scenera at 4.5. On the next trip he used the airplane seatbelt with a harnessed seat waiting at the other end (went to visit family). The next one will be a Radian both on the plane and in the rental car (no family to bum a seat). We aren't too far from just packing a booster in the carry-on. Maybe next fall after he's in a booster regularly for school carpool...

Outgrown by weight or height? The Avenue is a nice light travel seat. It has a taller shell for RF, and higher top slots for FF. But it has the same weight limits.

I thought the difference between the Avenue and Scenera was about an inch. If the Scenera is outgrown, I don't think the Avenue would be worth it because there wouldn't be much growing room.

Maybe I'm off on my perception of the size difference.

No, you're on track. Ds outgrew the Avenue about 6 months after the Scenera.

Lap belt on the plane then booster when you arrive (if they are big enough/mature enough). If not a booster, what about the Maestro? or the Generations65? Those are fairly small, lighweight but harness to 50 & 65lbs.

She'll be about three and a half years old when we do our next transatlantic flight. She has outgrown her Scenera by height, though she is only 32lbs. A tall and skinny lass!!
