Should I sell my Roundabouts?

So, I have a WWYD.

Here is my situation. My DD is 21 months old, 27 pounds, and currently rides RF in a Britax Decathlon and FF in a Britax Roundabout. Initially, after her bucket seat, we got two Roundabouts (Thanks to Consumer Reports  ). She outgrew the Roundabout RF, due to height around 18 months. At that time, I got the Decathlon. So, in my car (07 Toyota Sienna) she is still rear-facing. In my DH's car (07 Chevy Tahoe), she is forward-facing. She was rear-facing until she 18 months, when we had to turn her around. I know that she should still be RF in his car, but there are other factors involved there, and I think she will stay FF, no matter what seat we get. She is only in his car a couple of times a week/month.

So, I have two Roundabouts, one that we rarely use and one that we don't use at all. I am currently expecting DD #2, due April, and she will be the SafeSeat for at least a year, so we won't really need the Roundabouts until she outgrows that, so at the earliest April 08.

Should I sell one or both of the Roundabouts? I would get DD a higher weight seat for DH's car, and then wait till DD#2 is out of the SafeSeat to get her higher weight seats. Or do I keep them and use for DD#2, in hopes that she lasts longer RFing in them then DD#1? The Roundabouts DOM are 6/05 and 10/05.

Another thing to consider - we have a small private plane (Cessna 182) where the other Roundabout was, but being 8 months pregnant, I don't think that we will be flying any time soon. I could just keep the Roundabouts for the plane.

TIA,
Katie

That's a tough one. I personally kept my RA (and ended up buying a second one) because it's my absolute favorite seat. As you know, it's outgrown too quickly, but I love it for my infant.

So, I guess it depends. If you can sell them for a decent amount now (since they're relatively new), then maybe sell them because otherwise they'll sit unused for a year or so. You can always buy a new one, or something else when you need it. If you're not going to get much for them, I'd hang on to them and use them for the baby.

I'm also a big RA fan. I own MAs too, but will keep DD#2 in the RAs as much as possible. I just find them easier to use, and they're much better for travel.

My daughter is 18 months old and is 97th percentile for height. She still has growing room in the RA rearfacing. How did your daughter outgrow it? Which standard were you using? Head even with the top of the shell, or something else?
