'05 Ford Explorer & RF Marathon

I just purchased a Marathon and have it installed RF (seat belt install) in the middle seat of my ’05 Explorer. Does anybody have any tethering recommendations? Both the driver and passenger side seat tracks work alright, but the track is thicker than most so I’m unsure about whether or not it’s an acceptable tether point.

Also, can you tether a car seat that’s installed in the middle seat off to one side? I can tether the seat using the Australian Method, but I prefer not to because I have a hard time getting my son in and out.

I have an 04 Explorer which I *think* has the same interior. I use the passenger side seat track. It's a very tight fit but I can get the D-ring around the track and set close to the floor so that the seat is still usable. Let me know if you need pics.:)

We have the RA50(essentially the same as the MA) in the midde of my parents 04. It is tethered to the passenger seat track. The tether can be as much as 20 degrees off center. It's much less than that tethered to the passenger side inner seat track.
