Hi my dh is looking to purchase a 2007 chevy extended cab. I have a radian for my 4.5 year old daughter. I was wondering if anyone has tried it in a extended cab truck. We test drove one and I could not get a good install in the truck but it was cold out and I didn't really try very hard. I was debating whether to buy a booster seat for her when we would take the ruck. We would only take it on the week-ends because he would be using it for work. My dd is 40 pounds 42 inches tall. What do you think?

When we bought our Radian, it was supposed to be for dh's truck. I stole it for my car though since I loved the seat and so did ds. He got a rock solid install though using the center latch. Seat belt too more work, but still got it solid. Have you had a EXT cab truck before? I would, IMO, get a Crew Cab. We are actually looking now. It is nearly impossible to have a seat behind either front seat. Leaves so little room for the front seat people. Plus ds's legs can reach me from the middle and kick me. We are planning to ttc soon, and we don't want to deal with 2 seats in the back.

We haven't tried the Radian in my husband's GMC 2500 (crew cab? It has a full second set of doors). But I may try it tonight. We used to have the "suicide doors" on his last truck, but as soon as we found out we had another one coming we opted for the bigger truck. The rear-facing car seats were killer in there!

Dh has the extended with suicide doors, and he sometimes thinks it would be "fun" to go for a trip with all three kids in the back (maybe for the entertainment they provide while poking and hitting one another:confused:   ). There is a reason we have an 8 pass minivan - to seperate each of them by a minimum of one seat!!! Anyway, to answer the question, center install with belt and tether is amazing, and leaves room for turbo's on either side - perfect (except for the poking;) ).
