FYI-Marathon Sale

I ordered a Marathon the other day from the website for $219. I thought it was quite a deal. People had mentioned to me that the Wizard was coming soon, but I am always reluctant to buy something when it first comes out because there may problems that need to be corrected--which happened with earlier Marathons, I think. I've also read that Britax does not ALWAYS come out with things when they say they are going to and people wait and wait--at least it has happened in the past.

If I needed a seat now I would get a MA

but I have time. My kids still both fit in their Fisher Price Safe Embraces. I have an almost 3 year old who weighs about 30 lbs and still can grow about 2 inches in the torso before she outgrows it. My baby just turned 1 and is RF. She is 20 lbs and 30 inches, and also can grow about 2 inches in the torso before I will need either the MA or Wizard to keep her RF til 33 lbs. I am glad I have the time so that I don't have to buy a first batch Wizard. Enjoy your MA! You are right about the wait! I first read about the WIzard many months ago, and I think I remember seeing that it would be out by January,so they are behind!:(

www.babycatalog.com has the Britax Wizard for $269 with free shipping. They state 4-6 weeks for arrival... FYI.

I called and asked them about this and the sales rep I spoke with said this was a "ballpark" and it could be more or less.... in otherwords he was VERY vague. I was interested because I REALLY wanted a Wizard but I couldn't wait on the "it SHOULD be here by then... so I ordered a MA.

I have also called Britax and that customer service rep was even more vague!

Yeah, someone on another board called britax and was told it would be at least two months till the wizard is in production...so maybe by the end of summer we'll see some?

I called Britax about a month ago

and was essentially told they couldn't predict a date because it was not in the near future-what ever that means. I am happy my two still fit in their FPSEs (one RF, one FF) From what I read I am pretty lucky my 38 inch 35 month old still fits with room to grow in the FPSE. My 13 month old has at least a few more RF inches to grow! If I have to I will go with the MA, but am hoping for that wizard too!
