Thinking Way...way ahead! MA Q.

I am just wondering what the concensus would be on about how old a baby would be before moving them into an MA. I know it depends on size.

DD#1 was about 3 mos when I moved her into the Evenflo Victory 5 (terrible seat by the way!) So basically that would mean the I could keep DD#1 in the MA for another year or so before passing it down to the next one. Emma is just under the 3rd slots of her MA so she has a good 3 ins of growing room. She isn't even close to the 48lbs so no worries there! She has about 14lbs to gain before then!

I could be way off, but based on the babies I have known who have moved into the Marathon after outgrowing their infant seats, I would say most kids fit sometime between 4 and 9 months of age.

As you said, it depends on size. There could be 2-month-olds that fit just fine, just as there could be 10-month-olds who are too small.

We didn't put our son in his MA until he was almost a year, I think, so I'm no help there! But I was curious what you meant when referring to "48lbs"? Are you talking about the LATCH limits? Just curious since the MA goes up to 65lbs...

My little one is a bit on the small side and he's all legs, so he didn't fit "okay" in the Marathon/Decathlon until about 7 months.
