Plum Organics ™ announced today that it is taking the precautionary measure of voluntarily recalling one particular batch of its 4.22 oz. Apple & Carrot Portable Pouch baby food with the best by date May 21, 2010 and marked with the following universal product code (UPC) #890180001221 located on the bottom of the package. These pouches are sold individually at Toys-R-Us and Babies-R-Us locations nationally.

American Regent conducts nationwide voluntary recall of ALL lots of its Ketorolac Tromethamine Injection, USP 30 mg/mL. This voluntary recall is due to the potential that particulate matter in conjunction with crystallization may be present in the product.

Vatran's Fine Foods, Inc., a Tracy, Calif., establishment, is recalling approximately 11,500 pounds of assorted meat and poultry products (Montibella Susage Company brand, Vatran's brand), because they were produced without the benefit of federal inspection. The meat and poultry products were produced on various dates ranging from March 2009 through October 2009, and were distributed to retail stores in the San Joaquin Valley area in California.

TGF Production LLC is recalling Herring Salted because the product was found to be uneviscerated. The recalled Herring Salted was distributed nationwide in 1.3kg ( 2.86lb) round plastic containers with the code numbers 24.08.09 and 13.07.09.

Lone Star Brisket Company, a Thorndale, Texas, establishment, is recalling approximately 14 pounds of smoked beef products ("Texas Star Meat Company HALF SMOKED BEEF BRISKET Fully Cooked", "Texas Star Meat Company WHOLE SMOKED BEEF BRISKET Fully Cooked" labels) that may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. The smoked beef brisket products were packaged on October 14, 2009 and distributed to a Department of Defense Commissary in Oklahoma City, Okla.

Cargill Meat Solutions Corporation, a Milwaukee, Wisc., establishment is recalling approximately 5,522 pounds of beef tongues that may not have had the tonsils completely removed. The beef tongue products were produced between the dates of October 12, 2009 and October 14, 2009, and were shipped to distribution centers in Illinois for further sale.

A Northern California grocery chain has recalled several hundred cartons of Del Monte brand whole cantaloupe after routine testing detected salmonella. The affected cantaloupe was sold between Oct. 5 and Oct. 16 at Raley's, Nob Hill Foods, Bel Air and Food Sources stores in Nevada and Northern California.
