    Regent Install Question

I'm installing our Regent in a 2001 grand prix (the over 40lb installation - lapbelt/top tether, thus using short belt path/routed inside recline bar). Right now it is in the middle. It is secure and doesn't move, however, even with the buckle stalk twisted fully around one time, when...

    Extra seat cover

Would you purchase a seat cover that someone else bought used? I'm looking for an extra cover for our carseat for car sickness purposes. Just to have when DS gets sick and the cover needs to be cleaned, it gives me something else to put on, and we don't have to stay home for the next 24+ hours...

    Regent Install Question (with pics)

I went to a B&M store today and fought and fought (and fought) to get the Regent in my car. I drive an older Explorer. The short belt path was my only option for keeping DS in the middle (where I would prefer him since he's our only right now, and both outboards require a locking clip). It...

Kmart Scenera price? Other cheap seats?

Hoping for a quick answer here, does anyone know if the price in store on the Kmart scenera? I noticed the walmart one is priced at $50 online, I haven't looked in stores lately. Thanks!

    Frontier Armrests

I'll be honest, I'm not loving the armrests. I have not seem them in person, but I would rather do without them. Doesn't it state that they have to be down when driving? It just seems silly, they look rather flimsy (I'm sure they're not really) and it seems like one extra thing to do if you...

    Regent top slot height

Anyone else really bummed that this seems to keep creeping south? I remember people saying it was 19.5-20" when I first heard about it (DS was about 18 months old) Ive been struggling back and forth between the frontier and the regent because I was having a hard time committing to the frontier...

    Replacing seatbelts (no crash)

Is there a stated number of years you should use seatbelts? Or what is the general consensus of X year old belts should be replaced? The car is a Ford Explorer, never been in a crash but it is old. Does anyone know how much this type of thing would cost?

    insurance coverage questions

Not that I've had a wreck, but just for general knowledge... Does the at fault party replace the seat regardless or whether it was the other person's fault or your fault? So in other words, if the accident was my fault, would my insurance cover the seat? I would assume some companies make...

    Frontier at local stores yet?

Are any B&M stores carrying the Frontier yet? I'm aching to see it (and no there is no Right Start within 400 miles). I guess I'm mainly asking about BRU, as that's all we have here. USA baby even is a bit of a drive but doable.

Chevy Express Work Van...RF or FF?

DS is FF now (FPSVD limit 33lbs, I think he's 31-33lbs), but we have a backup EB 3in1. He may need to take a short trip in DH's van. Since the EB RFs to 35lbs, can it be installed RF? The van has two bucket seats in the front with a cage right behind them. No airbag for the passenger, only...

3 across in a 91 Jeep Cherokee (for a friend)

Can it be done? I don't know the backseat measurements or the torsos, but the kids are as follows. I will try to ask her more questions later. DS1 will be 6 in August 45lbs doesn't stay in booster. She got a $145 fine in a road block yesterday because he had unbuckled his seatbelt DS2 will...

    Seatbelt adjuster

The exact reason products like this should be outlawed!! Read the first review. The lady uses it with her 2yo :jaw: "in a pinch" Complete false sense of security, all while putting the child at additional risk for abdominal injuries. Seat Belt Adjuster

    Another sunshade question

Do you think a sunshade is safe to use? I was hoping to get some responses about safety in my other thread. I'm looking at this one that someone suggested... http://protect-a-bubusa.com/carseatsunshade.shtml Also, does anyone know if this particular one has to be put on and taken off every...

    Sunshade??

So my child screams unholy murder when the sun grazes the side of his face in the car. He is in the middle of my Ford Explorer. I have window clings up on the windows on either side of him, but the sun cuts in through the front windshield and our front side windows. I was looking at the...

    If you have a Regent...

How old was DC when you got it (and how much did he/she weigh if you remember)? Is it comfortable for DC to sleep in? Thanks!

    Naked Regent?

Now that I have your attention, what does the Regent look like without a cover?

    Width: Nautilus vs Regent

Sorry if this has been mentioned already, but would someone mind measuring the widths for me? Widest point on the horizontal portion (the bottom of the seat) and widest point for the vertical portion (the seat back). Thanks!

Do you let your FF kiddo ride without a tether?

I ask because neither of my parents cars have a top tether (Toyota 99 4runner & 98 Avalon - I've never actually checked the Avalon, just assuming because the 4Runner does not have them). He doesn't ride with them often, maybe 10-15 times a year, always with me (putting the seat in/him in/etc)...
