Radians and Zombies

Besides. The Britax Bubble would protect your kids even if you didn't buckle them in!
lol.. I was thinking marathon though too, since they are really easy to install... or Boulovard then the older kids in boosters, Fiona with the belt locked since she is really too young for one.. and light.

Just to get moving fast.

Hypothetically speaking...

Say one were about to be attacked by zombies and had nothing but 2 Radians handy, and the vehicle was incompatible with RF Radians or too small (and needed front passengers who also did not want their brains eaten).

But who on this board would have nothing but 2 Radians handy - don't we all have, like, at least 3x as many seats as we have kids?

Seriously though, threads like this make me feel relieved that I have almost-9YO's in boosters so there's no installations to worry about in the event of a zombie attack. And if for some reason I had to throw their boosters to slow the advancing zombies, I think I would even start up the car and tell my girls "scoot your rear ends all the way back, buckle up and make sure the lap belt doesn't ride up, and don't mess with the shoulder straps!" while stepping on the gas. Mind you, this is the ONLY type of scenario where they'd be in my car without boosters until they pass the 5-step test;)

Maybe the other seats had already been thrown at the zombies, or maybe the zombies were attacking the seats or blocking entrance to the attic or whatever.

Hey! I only have 5 seats per 2 kids and one is not yet in use  (Or are you suggesting I need one more seat?) And you can't have just radians unless you only ever take your car somewhere and never deal with friends, relatives or rental cars.

And yeah, throw the Radian, put in the young sport. So easy. And back less booster for DD1. I would totally take apart the monterey and throw the two pieces separately. However, my van has an awful lot of windows....

You know, I haven't contemplated zombie invasion. End of civilization as we know it, yes, Zombies not so much.. but you all have me thinking now.

BTW, Left for Dead gives me nightmares. I can't even watch DH play

Yeah, but then she'd have to find something to trade Sawyer for it. Or torture him. Which for a Diva cup would be reasonable, IMO.

Or kiss him. Wasn't that how Kate got the inhaler for Shannon? I don't think Sawyer would hoard a Diva Cup. He likely wouldn't think it was anything useful and if he could figure out what it was for he seems like the type who would be very grossed out by a lady thing. Would have been funny if they had a story line about him hoarding all the tampons and what the women did to him.

Y'all are all crazy. =P

I only have three seats -- GN, RN, and EFTA. Soon to be another RN. So, this hypothetical was along the lines of (for me)... GN and EFTA in MIL's car 14 miles away, RNs in my car RFing, and my car won't start. Because, well, THAT would be MY freakin' luck. :D

Aha! That's the problem - you *only* have 3 seats - by my estimated cs-org car seat algorithm, you have 2 LOs so you need at least 6 seats;)

And IMO for this board, the more realistic hypothetical would be something like "you have a Radian set up for RF but can't install in the functioning vehicle, and a MA that expired two months ago that you've been saving for the next BRU trade-in event. Do you put the sub-35 lb. kid in a FF unexpired Radian or RF in the 2-month-expired Britax Bubble?"

:ROTFLMAO:

No expired MA here... just a Snugride 22 with moldy straps (for the next trade-in event) and a crashed Comfortsport. But those are at GMIL's house. Meaning, if zombies attacked at HER house and SHE had no car seats handy (yet)... she'd probably put the bucket and CS both FF for the kids. Or not. Since she's not car-seat savvy.

Does it count if I have seats that don't fit the kid... because technically, I have one kid... and 4 seats... but one is a booster that she won't see for a long, long time :)

In the case of a zombie attack, I'd leave the radian in the car, swing the MA around by it's tether and knock some zombie skull in... that seat expires in 2 years anyways :p and I'd probably keep the MR on hand to toss in front of one of them and trip them up lol. Maybe stab some eyes out with TB screws? Although I doubt I would have a screwdriver on hand to get them out of the booster lol.

Realistically... I'd scream like a little girl and run lol

I'm new to this forum, but I have been going pregnant-lady car-seat crazy the last couple of days, so this really helped lighten the mood!

Awesomesauce! :D

My bf is our household zombie expert. He agrees to throw the Radian. He says you then get into the car and hope for the best, driving quickly away from the zombies. He says you should get cell phone photos of the zombies so that if, in the next town, some well-meaning cop pulls you over for an improperly restrained child, you can show him what you're running from. Then you scavenge from the cars of those who were not smart enough to escape the zombies to get a suitable seat. Obviously, you don't scavenge from crashed cars. Or you could loot a BRU. You can also grab a bunch of super annoying electronic toys with motion sensors to use as perimeter alarms. I also believe that diaper rash cream would help repel zombies, but he says I'm wrong.

Definitely this :yeahthat:

Wait!! Could you not throw the kids in FF, watch the zombies outta your rearview and drive backwards over them? Then technically the kids would be RF wouldn't they?
