SureRide wierdness-harness coming off splitter plate when installed

I've played around with the Titan65 and haven't been able to do this either. I would use the seat without worry, but make sure you have registered the seat with Evenflo in case of a recall. I can't imagine that this is an overly common issue.

Just my :twocents:

QUick update here, though I don't have photos.

Evenflo appears to have quietly solved this problem by making the long loops at the end of the harness less long. YAY! My new one (DOM early 2014, purchased in June, I'll look when I get a chance) has a harness like the SecureKid: the end loops are maybe 1.5" long.

Though I wish Evenflo hadn't been so dismissive of this to me, I'm *thrilled* that they fixed it.

Good to know - thanks. However, I'm a little surprised that they fixed it because they thought there was a problem but it wasn't a big enough problem to recall the existing seats? I sent this problem in to Transport Canada, and have heard nothing. It's been months.

Bumping as I had this issue with my Sureride yesterday. My DOM is 08/15/2013. I called Evenflo in July 2014 and requested a replacement harness as I saw in this thread they had shortened the last harness loop. The replacement harness looked exactly the same so I assumed I must have had the most up to date harness. We went to use the seat yesterday for the first time forward facing and every time we installed it when we put my son in it and tightened the harness one side of the harness would detach from the splitter plate. This seat is at my parents house to use when we visit so we rarely use it, this was our first time since receiving the new harness that I assumed was improved. We went to Target for a replacement seat and upon looking at the new Sureride there I see they changed the harness and indeed did add a much smaller loop to the end, it is the same size as the infant loop on my older harness if anyone is wondering. I will be reporting this to the NHTSA and have contacted Evenflo as well.

I don't know if this has been seen before:

I did not catch the date on this seat but a brand new Titan 65 in Canada. We've only had this seat 6 months or so.

There is a long bit of stitching to close the loop of the harness. I've shown where the newborn loop is although the photo doesn't show the top bit of stitching for it. This is different from the original style, yes?
