Social groups, character limit

I just spent about 45 minutes trying to post a question in the homeschooling social group. Apparently there is a 1000 character limit per post, and no quotes are allowed. I tried, over and over, to remove extraneous test, to abbreviate whenever possible, but no matter what I did, I was still over the character limit. Finally, I just gave up...it's a huge waste of my time, trying to ask this HSing question, when I need to actually BE HSing right now. :p

I'd still love to get the question answered, but didn't want to post it on the main board, since the social group is there for this purpose.

Is there any way to increase the character limits for social group posts, and possibly allow quoting?

I was going to do that at the end, after I got so frustrated, so I highlighted and cut out what looked to be half of my post, then tried to post the first part...but it was still over the limit by a couple hundred. So then I just gave up. :p I had already put so much time into it. And we should have been studying history almost an hour ago. Today is not going to go according to schedule, just like yesterday (byproduct of dh only working 3 days a week; we do great, things go smoothly, when he's at work, then when he's home, the schedule goes out the window ).

Waaah! I want to read your question! I'm a know-it-all obnoxious person, though, so maybe you don't want to ask it around me, anyway. :p

Thanks, Darren. :)

Qarin, I will re-post it later. Nothing juicy, though. ;) Just some questions on how others interpret my state law, testing requirements, and semantics regarding the Notification of Intent to Home School form.

Thanks from me too Darren...I slammed into the 1k limit the other day in one of the groups. 1k is rough for me, I tend to be verbose...LOL :)

Now if we could just SEE the rest of the thread while we're posting so we remember all of the points we want to make...

Sorry-been really busy with the family this weekend. I will hopefully get to it tomorrow. Just spent 3 hours in the kitchen, and I don't think I can put together a coherent post right now.
