Need suggestion PLEASE!!

My sister just called and told me that her son is taking off his seatbelt while they are driving!!

She cannot put him back into a 5 point, he is 10 years old, 150 lbs. He is autistic as well.. so rationalizing with him doesn't always work.

What can she do?? Isn't there some sort of vest or something she can use?

There are some vests specifically designed for special needs kids, but I am pretty sure they required heavy duty tether anchors. Can you find a tech in your area who specializes in special needs? A situation like that will almost certainly require some hands on help.

Thanks, I will let my sister know. Right now they are in Xenia, getting a Service Dog for Trevor. I honestly don't know if there are ANY techs in the area she lives in, but I will most definetely look into that!

Xenia, OH? I am in Dayton, but I haven't taken the Special Needs Certification yet. If that's where she is, I'll try to make some calls and see if I can track someone down for you. I am almost positive there are at least two SN techs floating around here; they brought several seats for show and tell to my certification class a few years back.
