Just bought my 2 Britax Frontier Xt for my twins.... but it's impossible to install in Subaru Forester!!!

Help! This cost over 650$$$$ for my twins.

DH is trying to install short belt (not enough belt to do long belt) and he's going crazy. Our Marathons were so easy... what's going on.

we have a Subaru Forester 2000.

I've been searching and not finding a lot of promising information with seat belt installs.

It seems like these 2 might not be compatible.

Here is someone trying to install the older Frontier in a 2001 Forester and in the end couldn't get it even with some helpful tips. They might be worth a try with the new one though (you'll have to scroll down a bit).

This review mentions the new one is similar in shape to the old one and sounds like it might not be compatible with the Forester . . .

Yikes. I know this may not help at all but we have a FR80 in DH's 03 Forester (but it has latch) and it installs great. I've never tried a belt path because DS is only 34#. I'm sorry!

If in fact you cannot get an acceptable install there are other options...are you able to return the Frontiers?

If you go down to post 12, Splash did get it in a later model (But I think before redesign?) with a seat belt, but she still doesn't recommend it. If there is no way to return the seats for something else, then you could pm her and see what tips she might have.
