I'm jealous of all of you with small kids

Thanks! We think he's a cutie, too! But I have to say your daughter is a cutie too, and so is Adrian in those pics. So many cute kids!

And thanks very much for taking a look at it and doing the lines. I figured I might be off as much as an inch, especially since it was a quick measurement with it upright and him not being as cooperative, but good to know it's more like 1-2" more than I thought.

Now if only my Radian (that I bought at the very end of Sep last year) had been made 2 months later; I wouldn't have a decision to make and wouldn't have to buy another $200-or-so seat. :p Oh, well! Back to decision-making. Thanks again!

And BTW, that's an amazing difference between RF and FF shown by Shaunam! I never would have imagined. So with it installed and the harness lowered I may have even more time, but at least now I'm reasonably sure he'll make it to 40 pounds or very close.

Yes, he has quite a bit of room over his head. And don't worry, kids DO tend to sprout more in the legs at this age. My son was one of those with a *massive* torso. He was wearing 4T shirts at 18 months and only wears a 5T now, over 3 years later.

Thanks. Hopefully you're right (and hopefully his weight will slow, too). And thanks for posting those pics; that's kind of crazy!

You'd be surprised how a kid will change how he fits in a seat just by moving it to a different car or a different position in the same car. Or going rf'ing to ff'ing. Or adjusting the recline. Even subtle changes can make a difference.

I did install it in my van and completely buckled him in with the straps in the correct harness slot. The top of his curly little head was almost two inches higher than the top of the other little curly guy above. Sucks. I just can't justify spending that kind of money for an inch or so, especially since I think he'd get more ff time in his TF (in which he's currently rf) than in the XT.

Bumping this up. Here is a picture of Benjamin sitting in the rear-facing radian.

He has about two inches until he is at the top!

My kiddo is a monster, too.
I sympathize.
For him to RF, the only thing that would really work was the MR.

I did find the same interesting occurrence RF vs. FF...he "shrinks".
