How to know if my twin DDs are to tall for their Britax Marathons?

they are almost 5 and I think they may be growing out of their Marathons. They are both lightweights and are nowhere near the 65lbs weight limit but I wonder about their shoulder height (both have long torsos like mum ).

How can I tell if it's time to move on..... thinking of getting the Frontier XT.

when their shoulders go above the top slots, they'll be too big (or when the tops of their ears are level with the top of the seat)... remember, the straps must come from at/above the shoulders.

If their shoulders are above the top slots they're too tall forward facing.
