How deep is the Radian seat base?

I mean where the child actually sits, not the seat bottom in it's entirety. The issue for us is Lukey's long legs, so seat depth is important.
How does it compare to a Cargo or Evenflo combo seat bottom depth?
If you have older kids in the Radian, how do they feel about it... are they squished in the shoulders at all? Do the dangling legs bother them?

my dd is 4.5 years old and is about 42-44inches tall the last time i checked but her torso is only about 14.5 so she's a lot of legs, she has LOTS of room in this seat. I can measure mine in the AM if you need me to, the sholder room is much much more then most convertiabls, i think my 6.5 year old could likely still use this seat but we havn't actully tried yet, he's a good size kids too.... I'll have to check it out tomorrow!

I have a Husky for my 8 1/2 yr old. I'll go measure the seat. I know for a while we had a styrofoam cooler for her feet (she didn't really complain but always had her feet on the top of the seat in front of her!) but she got mad one day and stomped a hole in it!! I have been thinking of trying the noodle with a rope through it trick, for a safe foot rest esp. now that younger dd is ff and does not like her legs dangling from her RA. We have plenty of noodles left over from summer so I have no excuse not to try out the idea.

OK I measured 11 inches to where the foam ends and one more inch to where the seat really starts dropping off . I also measured the RA for comparison and that is 9 inches of foam and then one more to edge of slope.

HTH,
C.
