Graco Nautilus ?

Did they fix the crotch strap on the newer ones? I'm needing an extra seat for my almost 5 yr old DS, and I want a seat that will turn into a booster when needed. TIA!

How do you mean 'fix'? The crotchstrap has not been changed from the original model. However, it's perfectly ok the child is sitting on the strap (is beyond the outtermost strap slot). It's only an issue if the child is so very large that the strap is actually turned into a right angle.

Yeah, the crotch strap was never broken. Just a rumor from one customer service rep that was later un-verified (if that's a word) by higher ups at Graco. Is there a different concern you have other than sitting on it?

Do you mean about it getting stuck and not releasing? I had that problem and we do not allow the kids to eat in the car. I contacted them and they sent me a whole new harness system ASAP. However...now I'm having problems with fraying near the lower portion of the harness, near where the leg would rest. I just emailed them again. Hopefully they'll send me a replacement, because even though I know I shouldn't worry, I still am.

No, I was refering to the strap being under the child. He isn't comfortable like that so I was wondering if they had changed it.

No, they haven't changed it. Few kids are uncomfortable like that. Sorry your son is!
