Best booster for tall children?

First question: does a child outgrow a booster when their shoulder is above the belt guide slot? Or can it come from below the shoulder?

Which booster has the highest belt guide and is best for a long-torso-ed child?

The child in discussion here is currently in a Graco Turbobooster and her shoulder is above the belt guide.

I would say that child has outgrown the booster. If the belt guide is below the shoulder, the shoulderbelt will not be properly positioned. I know it's fine to bypass the belt guides in combo seats like the Graco CarGo and Dorel highback boosters, the kind with sewn-on clip-style shoulderbelt guides, as long as the shoulderbelt fits the child well without using the guides. I do not think it's fine to bypass the shoulderbelt guides in a dedicated booster, though.

How old is the child? How tall? If the child is too tall for the TurboBooster but does not pass the 5 step test, I'd look at a Britax Parkway or Monarch, they adjust taller than the Turbo.

What vehicle is the child riding in? If it's a vehicle with high seatbacks or headrests, maybe look at the Monarch exclusively, since it adjusts the tallest AND can convert to a backless. If the child is long-torsoed, a seat that can become a backless may be a nice thing to have.

Yep, the child has outgrown the TB. The only taller high back is the PW, but if the vehicle has high seat backs the TB can be used backless.

OK, what is the official answer for the belt guide of the Monarch? Is it the same as the PW, shorter or taller? Has anyone posted pics of the Monarch headrest raised and compared to other boosters? THANKS!!
BTW, have you guys seen the new colors? I LOVE the pink one!!
