Question Your favorite CHEAP new car?

Looking at new cars. But this will be our economy car. Need gas efficient and cheap, got any ideas?

Chevy Cruze Eco
Ford Focus SFE FFV 4-door

Good crash test ratings, good fuel economy and all under $20k new street price.

Chevy cruze Eco, no contest. My mom drives 90 miles round trip every day (plus lots of errand running) and fills up about every week and a half. It's not spacious but could comfortably fit four for a long distance (5 around town wouldn't be a problem). It's a really fun little car to drive too!

I'd vote ford focus. I just rented it and thought it was pretty nice. Ford has really come a long way!

DH bought a 2010 Honda Fit. Pros, cons on it. We have 3 kids, 1 getting close to 5 stepping, an almost 9 year old in a LBB and a small 4 year old. We will occasionally use it for all of us. The Ody is used primarily for trips.

The Fit is a great vehicle overall. I would have opted for a Civic, Corolla or Focus but only because I am more comfortable with them size wise (a bit roomier for not much more $ - kwim).

My family loves their honda fit, we get great gas milage on it and can put lots of stuff in it! We also have an 01 civic we like too but the fit is the favorite.

We have a 2011 Honda Fit! We use it as our errand run around car. I also have a Honda Pilot for when we all need to go places. The only car seat ever used in there was a Graco HBB for our Grandson. But it fit well! More room in car than you would expect. Bought ours for about 15,000.
