Yet another "Pick my stroller" thread

Why I need help:
We live in a rural area. The only close place to shop for strollers is Wal-Mart/Target and a tiny BRU. I'm in the market for a new stroller(s) and would love some suggestions, since I'll most likely have to order them from Amazon and send them back if I don't like them.

The stroller is for the peanut I'm expecting later this year.

What I have:
I currently have a Mac Volvo that I LOVE for doctor's offices and the mall. I love how narrow it is, the tall seat back and high weight limit. I also love how light it is. It's suitable for 6 months up.

I also have a jogger that is very similar to a BJC Elite with air tires. It's a beast to get in and out of the car, but can handle any terrain and is easy to push so it works well for soccer games and theme parks. It's suitable for 6 months up, but DS really wasn't ready at 6 months.

What I'm looking for:
*Suitable for a newborn
*Light
*Easy to push
*non-tippy would be great, but not a must have
*no budget limit (I'll buy used if it's really expensive)
*a large basket is a plus, but not a must have

What I'm considering:
*Mac Quest 2012 (with 150 degree recline)
*Baby Jogger City Micro (got one at Target, not sure if I'm keeping it)
*Uppababy Vista with bassinet
*Bugaboo Cameleon with bassinet

So do you want an indoor, or an outdoor stroller? Which one will really change what kind of tires I'd recommend.

Well, I'm currently completely in love with the Mamas & Papas Urbo. ;)

Bumbleride Flyer

Peg Perego Book or Book Plus

The Mac Quest is definitely a good choice though since it's an umbrella the steer isn't quite as nice as some of the full-featured strollers

Valco Zee

For some reason my mind isn't working right now. I'll come back when I think of more.

We played with a Book this past weekend, and my husband kinda loves it
The push on it is great, and the fold is easy.

I'm kicking myself for not playing with the Zee while we were there. I don't like that I have to stoop down to the ground to fold/unfold it, but I've decided that's a compromise I might be okay with. I'm still waiting to play with the Snap before making any decisions. Everything feels really heavy to me =(

KQ: I saw the Urbo while we were there, and I almost played with it because of how much you seem to love it! I was afraid I'd end up loving it and getting a wildly inappropriate stroller for me, though.

I'm enthralled with both the Book Plus and the Four Switch strollers. Been wanting something that does parent-facing for a long time now! Haven't seen the Book Plus yet in-store, but the Switch is lightweight like an umbrella and the flat newborn surface is really nice.

The Snap or Cybex Onyx would be other options but they don't parent face. What about the Bee? Depending on if you want the Bee or Bee+ you could spend between 200 and 450 on a used one.

Bugaboo anything is easy to find used and cheap here. How wide is the Bee? My first stroller was a crappy travel system and I ran into shopping racks a lot.

It's under 20 inches wide, its reversible and you can fold it with the seat parent facing. The push and maneuverability can't be beat either. I am lusting after a Bee myself at the moment but I'm trying to be practical... I hate being practical.

Never mind. Bee is only two inches wider than my Mac so worth looking at.

KQ- LOVE the Mama's and Papas but they don't come up used much here.

I love my bee. I have the original. There are a few things that annoy me (fold is not too smooth and reversing the seat is a huge PITA) but I haven't found a stroller with a better push and the basket is fantastic for a compact stroller. It's crappy in snow but slush is fine. It doesn't stand when folded in case you care. I believe the mountain buggy duo carrycot works on it although I just use it fully reclined.

She said the 2012 with the 115 degree seat. It's enough for day-to-day use with most newborns. At least mine (but mine can handle an umbrella stroller from about 2-3 months, lol.)

I would ask about the folding mechanism (sometimes they get sticky), if the front wheels squeak (the springs inside get rusty easily), if the fabrics are sun faded, and what accessories are included.

I bought a 2007 Bugaboo Cameleon today. It came with the original tailored fabric, basket, cup holder, umbrella, breezy canopy, sun shade, bug net, rain cover, foot muff for $300. I hope I like it :) I'm fairly certain I can get $300 back out of it if I don't like it though.

good choice. I have a Cameleon and I stupidly bought it new because the used ones looked used. It looked used in a week and never got any more "used" than that! We used the bassinet for naps for the first few months and it was great.
