WWYD with this seat?

I have a replacement seat coming for a defective seat I have here. The seat I have here is 2 years old, the replacement is brand new. I have to destroy the first seat.

The thing is, it's a small seat. We purchased it to help fit 3 across in a situation we no longer have (we bought a van). DD only has MAYBE 4-6 months left RFing in it, but it is the only seat that fits RF, 3 across in DH's car (which we ride in VERY rarely, especially now that we have the van:love:).

We plan to have another baby sometime next year. I do not need this seat right now. I just purchased a scenera for travel because I was concerned that the small seat would not work RFing for our next trip.

Do I:

1. Sell it, at a discount so everyone benefits. (Me, buyer etc.)
2. Give it away to one of my pregnant sisters.
3. Keep it for the next baby, even though it's about 15 months off?

If you promised to destroy it, don't sell it for a profit.

I think she means the replacement seat that is coming to her.

I'd have no problem selling it. You did still pay for it (well you paid for the first seat, which was defective). You just got some extra time out of it as a bonus.

Thanks :)

I don't want to "milk" the deal,as I appreciate this company standing behind their product. I was planning to sell it, because I really don't need it anymore and the install in my van isn't ideal but I LOVE the seat. I took the cover off to wash and noticed an issue. I called the company to see if it was a safety concern, and they said "probably not" but they are sending me a brand new one anyway, which is AMAZING.

Sell it. The same thing happened to me with a swing of DSs. I sold it for $200, it was $250 from the store. He never used that swing tho cause it didn't work proper so it kinda jerked him around.

Sell it unless it would be a good seat for your pregnant sister.

You can either use the money to buy your sister the "right" seat for her, or save the money for a car seat for your next baby in the future. Money keeps better than car seats. ;)
