Will the Nuna Pipa fit in a 2013 Honda Civic?

Hello! I am hoping to purchase a Nuna Pipa, due to the lack of flame retardants and the load leg on the base. Does anyone have experience fitting a Nuna Pipa into a Honda Civic? We have a 2013, and would hope to put it in a side seat, with the latch installation, but are worried about it forcing the front seat to be pushed too far up for my 6' husband to comfortably sit in. This would be for a newborn, until they grow out of the seat. We just found out that buybuybaby won't allow anyone to test out the carseat before purchase anymore, due to Covid, and they don't accept carseat returns once opened. It looks like Nordstrom may allow returns, so that is the next best option, but it looks like there's no way to test things out ahead of purchase anywhere. Thank you for your help!

A PIPA will almost certainly fit in the outboard seats, though you will lose some room up front. This is going to be the case with any rear-facing seat in a compact vehicle. I have put one in a few Civics, though I'm not 100% sure there was one of your generation. Middle seats can be problematic in some vehicles, though. Sometimes a middle seat install will give you a little more legroom up front, though it will be harder to load and unload.

I would recommend the new RELX base that comes with the PIPA R and RX models.

I would definitely check for a good returns policy. I had not heard about COVID returns changes at BuyBuyBaby.

If you're really concerned about space you could look at the Clek Lling, which is more compact, has a load leg, and has a wool cover available (with no artificial fire retardants.)
