Which would give more leg room - Regent or Frontier (in harness mode)
What is the depth of each - from back of set to front?
Thanks!!!!!!!!!

I *think* the Frontier is deeper, but I'm not 100% sure. It seems to provide awesome leg support, even for older kids using it as a booster. How old is the child, how tall is he and how much does he weigh?

And I just installed both my Regent and Frontier last night! I didn't measure, but I think the Regent has more room. I can measure tonight, if you'd like. The Frontier is curved a bit so it looks like it might provide better support, though.

Oh that would be awesome! I can not find a Regent anywhere to get a measurement. I need the one that will give the most leg room / takes up less room from back of seat to the front.

I think it's a toss-up, to be honest.

It was really hard to measure, but this is what I got:

Depth inside the seat, where the kid sits:
Regent 14.5"
Frontier 15.5"

Depth from the outside of the seat:
Regent 18"
Frontier 18"

With the seats installed as upright as possible, from the vehicle seatback to the edge of the carseat:
Regent 21.5"
Frontier 20"

Now, keep in mind that this was in two different vehicles. The Regent is also quite a bit more reclined than the Frontier, so this will affect how it installs. My Regent is installed in a truck, so the vehicle seatback is very upright and cannot be reclined any, so there is a several-inch gap between the seat portion of the Regent and the vehicle seatback. If your vehicle allows the seatback to be reclined some, you can match the angle of the Regent and get the whole seat to fit further back, giving more legroom.

The Frontier, in general, is much more upright even with the recline foot. So although it measures slightly bigger than the Regent, it actually gives more legroom because it fits against the vehicle seatback better.

All in all, though, they seem roughly the same depth-wise. The Regent is wider, of course, but I think in your case it may not really make much difference, assuming your vehicle seatbacks can be reclined some.

Thank you so much for taking your time to do the measurements for me! I decided it is a total toss up - what to do? what to do? SOOOO I ordered a Regent and I will install it then go to the store and install the Frontier and see which one works the best. The store said if the Regent does not fit I can return it for a full refund so that helped my decision alot!
