Hi! I'm new, and I'm not sure if this is the best place to post this question... if not, mods, please move to the right spot...
We're taking a roadtrip in a couple of weeks, and I go back and forth about which carseat to use for DD.
She is 9 years old and about 50 lbs, 50-52 inches tall? (Haven't measured or weighed her in a while). We have a Graco High back Turbo Booster in my car and a Clek Olli in DH's car. We are probably taking DH's (almost brand new) car for the 2,500 mile trip. We will be somewhat close to doubling the miles on his car if we take his. I can obviously put whatever seat we choose in whatever car for the trip.
Each seat has its own advantages:
Turbo booster - if DD falls asleep - she'll actually have something to lean her head on. Also has cupholders.
Olli - it's snapped in with LATCH, so it won't slip around on the seat, which is a problem we have with the turbo booster when DD leans side to side or gets in and out. This seat is also more comfortable for DD's legs and feet. I really like the LATCH thing because DD has a very slight build, and I feel better that the seat is attached to the car... Probably faulty thinking, but it makes me feel safer.
In both seats, the seatbelt is positioned properly across DD's chest.
Opinions? Olli or Turbo Booster? Thanks!
