Which for a Southwest flight?

I need to get my 2.5 year old a new car seat for our upcoming flight on Southwest. Our precious Cosco Scenera that we used for air travel is expired.

I see that Cosco updated the Scenera car seats to the new Next one, and they look much wider.

Given that, which would fit better in the seat on a Southwest plane? The Cosco Scenera Next or the Cosco Highback 2-in-1? This is just for air travel and some road travel, and will be going on Grandma's car after this upcoming flight (and Grandma RARELY has her).

I also need her to be comfy as we will be on a plane for 8 hours and I have 2 other kids and will be flying solo without my husband.

Which of the 2 would be a better fit on a Southwest plane?

Thank you!

The Scenera NEXT isn't actually wider. It should be fine, although she'll outgrow it fairly soon unless she is small.

Don't get the Cosco high back. It's no cheaper than the brand new (and greatly improved!) Cosco Finale. Which would also be a reasonable choice.

Thank you!! Yes, she is very small for her age. It looked a lot more comfortable (esp for sleeping on a plane) than the 2-in-1 highback.

Where do I find the Cosco Finale? Is that a 5 point harness? I only saw the two I mentioned at our Wal-Mart today, but then again I only go into that store 2-3 times a year.

It just might be the way they've done the Next seat that makes it look wider. Assuming either would fit great on a seat on a Southwest plane?
