Me and my husband are new to the parenting world. My husband has a 2006 Tacoma single cab Gen 2 bench pickup truck. Which car set would best fit his truck? I read the owners manual we can have a car seat in there and turn off the airbag.

Hello, will this be for a newborn? If not, what is the child's current age and approximate weight?

If possible, can you register to be able to post a photo of the relevant section of your instruction manual, please? In particular, does you vehicle have lower LATCH anchors in the passenger seat>

For a rear-facing child, you will definitely need to use the airbag disable switch and set it to OFF. Most car seats should fit. Do you have a budget range?

So I went to my husbands truck there are lower and upper anchors. There is like 10 pages of what to do and what not to do on car seats. There is a switch in my husbands glove box to turn it off. It did say some models went by weight of the passenger. I can send you all the pages if you want me to.

With the airbag disabled according to the manual, you can likely use almost any car seat. The Chicco Keyfit 30 is a reliable rear-facing only infant seat that is more compact than most and tends to be compatible in many vehicles. That would be a reasonable one to try. Just make sure you get a free returns policy wherever you buy, as shipping a car seat back can cost a fortune. That means on Amazon and Walmart, be sure it's Prime and shipped/sold by Amazon.com or Walmart and not a third party seller.

This one is on a great deal right now- https://amzn.to/3OoSs7Y

If the manual is not clear on any aspect of using a car seat in the front passenger seat, I would suggest to try to locate a local technician for assistance if you have any concerns.
