Which car seat for under $150?

My friend is looking for a car seat for his 15 month old for under $150.I didn't really like the feel of the fabric on the fisher price and he wants something nicer than the scenera. I think he would love a Britax but I dont think I can get one for that price-unless someone knows of a deal. Any recommendations?

Evenflo Triumph Advance. It ranges from 120-170 and even the lowest cost one is plush. RF to 35lbs and ff to 50lbs and it will actually last most kids that long. BRU has a coupon right now for $20 off, making the $150 seat $130. It's very nice. Target also has one for $140 and it's my favorite. So nice!

Is the 15 month old RF?

He should be RF, but that's often not the case and might change some of our recommendations if they insist of FF him.

I second the EFTA...also check out the Uptown for $100..it only ff's to 40lbs but rf's to 35...Super nice padding and soft cover.

The EFTA is what I would recommend, hands down, for under $150. It is rear facing to 35lbs. and it has nice tall harness slots and 50lb. harness rating forward facing.

Just another vote for the EFTA. I own 6 seats and that one is by far my favorite! Practical, affordable, and comfortable.

It IS wide though, and people really either love or hate the harness tightener knobs (I'm a lover, not a hater!) so I recommend your friend checks them out on his own and sees if he likes them.

I too love my EFTA. It is soft and comfortable. I tried a Scenara but took it back. It was hard to install and just didn't look or feel as nice as the EFTA. My DD never fusses to be put in the EFTA.
