what seat for airplane rental car

going out of town with 4 year old. 38in, 40lbs. We will be flying Allegiant with smaller seats and renting a compact car like the one we own at home. which is the best for airline? my goal is narrow because my wife is a heavier person so she may be pressed on the car seat in the air plane.

Here are the choices we own:

Graco My Ride 65 wide but sturdy
Graco Tranzitions. we use this on the rare occasion in grandmother's truck, but I find it difficult to install in a bench seat in my own vehicle.
Evenflo Safety Max 3in1. heavy and still wide, but easiest to install vehicle wise.
