Question versa tethers and top tether loops in trucks

A and I are riding to CT with my BF for work today and he is driving the Ram 3500. I installed the FR80 in it and it goes in great. Went to tether it and realized I wasn't sure if you can use a versa tether with it. Looked in the LATCH manual and it doesn't say anything about it. Ended up reinstalling with seatbelt (also great fit) and did use tether since I figured it won't hurt and it is optional anyways with seatbelt install.

So, my question is, can you use a versa tether with this kind?

Yes. It is a bit awkward to get all of that webbing sorted and organized but it is permitted (unless of course either manual prohibits it, but none do that I'm aware of).

If it's the same as our Dodge truck (2004), there is a strap loop and a solid loop behind each seat. It's tricky to thether the V type tethers on the Britax seats but it' possible. Feed the tether through the fabric loop where the seat is installed and clip it to the solid loop of the seat next to it. There should be a diagram in the owner's manual. Getting it reasonably tight is the tricky part, I also attached the tether before getting the seat tight since the Frontier is so tall (don't tighten it until the Latch/seatbelt is tight though).
