Transporting seat

I am a long time lurker:p

I have tried to search but not coming up with much so please excuse this if its been discussed before.

I am über excited as I live in South Africa where most children are never even strapped in and with only European seats available and a very limited range we have no harnessed boosters here.

I have a friend coming from USA in a few weeks and have basically decided on the Britax Pinnacle 90 but I am so nervous to transport it via the airlines and was wondering if there is a travel bag which is sturdy enough? Or would it be best just to transport it in the box.

It will cost landed, for me to import it around $870 I can now get it done for around only $100 extra for his extra luggage. And maybe around $150 for import duties... Hence me asking for the favor.

Or should I try get a travel bag and put it in the box in the bag?

Lol I am so scared it gets damaged  any suggestions?

TIA

I'd have him transport it in the box. It won't be any different than if you had it shipped to you from here- it would be in the box in the cargo area of a plane then, too.

Congrats!

Feel so silly now in my defense it is 1:30 am here

I actually wanted to ask if he removed it from the box how had others transported theirs... Because we might save on import duties but decided somewhere between posting that I'd just keep it in the box... :D

So I actually had no question lol

Thanks for the replies and humoring me ;)
