Does the complete air without the lx base install well in the toyota sienna (meaning without a pool noodle)? Or will I be better off with the lx 65?

In the second row, 8th seat, I was able to install without a noodle.
In the third row, middle seat, I used a pool noodle.

When I first played with the seat quite a few months ago - I found the LATCH install challenging in the regular captain seats... but I haven't tried it since. It might be just fine (seat belt was preferred).

I think jsut about all of them need a little something. I know a few people over on cm got the LX version for the base thinking they wouldnt need anything and still ended up needing at least a small towel or one noodle. I have the regular one and I have to use a small towel rolled into a medium towel to get an acceptable recline.

In the 8th seat, I think the base might get in the way. There plastic covers where the seat folds are too narrow, the CA has to be over top of them.

I never use noodles for my CA, but I stand behind it and push it into the seatback. I do not like the FF install in the 8th.

Mine is installed with no noodles at all on the middle-most seat and it is reclined to 45 degrees. I had it with three noodles on an outboard seat, but it was 45 degrees, so I took the noodles out when I moved the seat. Mine doesn't have the fancy base.
