Switching Nautilus buckles

Graco has never answered an email for me... but they do seem to answer posts on the FB page. I would call or FB. I'd assume if you post to FB though they will say "We don't know."

I e-mailed them around 11:30 am Saturday and they responded before noon Sunday. Are you using their contact us form on their site? If it matters, I asked in my email if an engineer would please respond to my question.

Here's what's weird - I know they got it. I bought a new nautilus and the buckle was sticky. Not normal lousy new design sticky, one side wouldn't come out. I emailed to get a new one and never heard anything. Returned the seat instead. Forgot all about it. A week or so ago I get a package in the mail and it's a new graco harness, for a seat I no longer have. Very odd. Nice service, but odd.

We have the new buckle on our GN, and I really really like it. I like it more than the old one (which we had just a few months ago)

I'm curious as to why so many don't like it? Am I missing something? Lol.

Our old GN buckle would stick, like PP said, just poor quality, started sticking right out the box.

I dont like how hard it is to snap in the tongs :( I dont un-doing the buckle though.

I finally got through to Graco ;) I was told trading out JUST the buckle hardware is fine. She said some GN's came with the old style buckle and newer style harness. They used up the old style buckles until they were gone.

:D:D:D

And I love how the new tongues click in so definitively. When one tongue clicks you know it's in; it's not going to pop out before the next tongue is in. I'm not sure what you mean by your 2nd sentence?

Super glad you got the answer you needed from Graco!

Sorry I was typing fast from my phone -
I don't mind un-doing the new style buckle.

Also received this email today so I have no doubts using the newer harness with the older style buckle ;)

Tonya,
I am sorry you did not receive a reply to your inquiry. The newer style was designed to make it more difficult for a toddler to release and get out at will. It would be alright as long as you are using both the buckle and the tongues.
