You may have heard that NHTSA’s long-awaited Final Rule on a Federal Side-Impact Standard for car seats was finally published. Here at CarseatBlog, that was definitely an excuse to break out the bubbly since we’ve been waiting for this announcement since the summer of 2014 when the Notice of Proposed Rule Making (NPRM) was published. To be honest, we’ve actually waited over 20 years for this but I’d rather not be reminded of how quickly the last 2 decades have flown by. I didn’t want to just regurgitate a press release or some bare-bones news article with no nitty-gritty details
