Snugrides bottom slots

New member
Quick question..... I am getting a 14 day old, 5lb little girl this morning placed with me. I have a snugride35 here, social worker bought a new regular snugride for the baby last night..... do both seats have the same bottom slot? I saw the baby yesterday and she is tiny.... I really don't have e money to buy a different seat for her right now:eek:

Yes, the 35 has lower slots. The new 35s even have changes made to fit from 4 lbs. The 22 has higher slots and some 5 lb.ers don't fit.

What are those changes?

My 8 lb 21" baby BARELY fit in her SR35, but the slots definitely are lower than the 22(had that for my first). My little one had a short torso even though she was a big baby, she is now 16 months and is *just* even with the second slots on the CCO.

I think with one that tiny, she should fit well enough and you just do the best you can.

Thank you everyone:) I will leave the new snugride packed up then and send it with the baby when she leaves again.
For some reason I was worried that the bigger snugride had higher slots.

Can wait for the little new one to arrive

I find the snug35 fits littles better than the snug22. The insert boosts them up a bit and the shape of the seat is nicer (the snug22 is really flat?).
