RideSafer travel vest Gen 5. Still certified, safe and good to use?

Hey we've been looking at travel vests for a little while. We found the WhizRider that suddenly dissapear from Amazon and stop selling in their website. It seems that, that specific one and bunch others in Amazon aren't certified anymore by FMVSS 213.

I can still see RiderSafe Travel Vest Gen 5 available on Amazon at least. Is it still certified, safe to use, etc?

Also I was wondering if it is certified/approved by the FAA to use in Airplanes.

The RSTV is certified and safe to use for children over about 4 years of age who get a proper fit.

The WhizRider claimed to be certified but in fact never complied with FMVSS 213.

There are regulatory challenges that mean that no, the RSTV can't currently be used on a plane, though we hope it may be soon.

If your child doesn't fit the plane belt, the safest option is to bring a conventional car seat on board and use it.
